Feeding Therapy (food school)

Karen offers feeding therapy using responsive feeding practices to respectfully & gently guide children to expanding their food variety. She is trained in the SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) approach to feeding and uses many SOS techniques in her work with children. Her goal is to empower children to develop the skills they need to make eating more enjoyable. Feeding therapy works best when parents carry over strategies at home, so there is a strong parent coaching component. Collaborating with other providers such as an occupational therapist, speech pathologist, pediatrician &/or mental health counselor makes this work more effective.
