Parent Coaching Call
A one-on-one consultation for parents or caregivers to discuss and problem solve feeding challenges. Strategies could include meal planning, snack ideas, routine/structure modification, tips for food introduction and other resources.
This is ideal for a busy parent who likes information and can run with it! No need for your kiddo to be present for this appointment. This strategy session is meant for parents or caregivers to have the freedom to ask sensitive questions, share information and have an honest conversation one-on-one with another adult.
Parent Coaching/Consultation appointments can be in-person or via Zoom. Once you book your appointment you will receive a confirmation email and a pre-visit/call form that you can share with me with additional information about your concerns.
Additional support sessions are available as requested.
Note: If you have a referral from your PCP for Nutrition Counseling, please call our office at 603-674-2479.
Individual Nutrition Assessment & Counseling
Personalized nutrition counseling following an in-depth Nutrition Assessment. If your kiddo has a specific medical diagnosis, such as constipation, Celiac Disease, unexplained weight loss, food allergy or pediatric feeding disorder (not an all inclusive list), this is the type of support you’ll want. Nutrition Counseling, also called Medical Nutrition Therapy, is tailored for your child’s unique health concerns. Karen does a deep-dive into your child’s eating and provides specific recommendations based on family goals and culture.
If you have a referral from your PCP or other practitioner, this is the place to start. Appointments can be in person at our office in Portsmouth or via telehealth (NH & ME only).
Your health insurance may pay for Nutrition Assessment & Counseling. Use this Health Insurance Verification form to check your benefits.

A weekly walk @the speed of conversation for teens who do not consider themselves to be athletic, but are motivated to get their body moving. Karen will travel to your home (within 30 minutes of Portsmouth) to walk with your teen. The goal of the walk is to simply move, consistently, rain or shine, without ulterior motive. The time together may, or may not, contain any actual conversation 🙂
This is a minimum of a 6 week commitment. Scheduling walks is dependent on Karen’s office schedule.
Vitamin D3 Testing
The Vitamin D Test Kit is a simple, at-home finger prick test that measures the amount of D3 in our blood by the gold standard LC-MS/MS method. Vitamin D blood levels in the range of 30-100 ng/mL have been associated with bone, immune, brain, and heart health.
These easy-to-use kits are available in office and can be done as part of an appointment.
