A Year in Review & Upcoming Projects

It’s that time of year when we look back and review what has happened in the past and look forward to upcoming projects!

First, Looking Back at 2025:

I’m so grateful for all the new families that I met this year. The kiddos and parents who trust me to help with feeding difficulties and reduce the stress around dinnertime, is what really keeps me going.

While seeing kiddos one-on-one in my office is most of my practice, this year I also connected with several preschools. Preschoolers are earnest little learners and at such a fun age! We did some food exploring and learned about what food does for our body (in an age appropriate way).

This summer I started doing some food exploration with students at Seacoast ABA in Barrington. I bring something to cook and/or explore and anyone who is interested can come and participate. We had to get creative since there is no kitchen. We “cooked” trail mix, oat milk pudding and spent plenty of time cutting and dipping fruits and veggies.

I also presented a webinar in October to a group of Occupational Therapists. I spoke about how OTs and dietitians can work together to bridge the nutrition gaps that picky eaters often experience. It was the first time I had presented to such a large group and I was nervous. The worst part was being unable to see my audience–I had no idea if the information I was presenting was what they wanted. As soon as I was done I started thinking about how I would have changed my presentation!

In Late November the Monarch School in Rochester reached out to see if I was interested in helping them build out the food service. They’ve backed away from the National School Lunch Program and have decided to create a lunch program that meets their own high standards and is free to all students. I am so impressed with this school’s dedication to providing nutritious meals!

This is a great segue to 2026….

What’s up for 2026?

In addition to working with the Monarch School, I have another project in the works. This project is still being ironed out so I’m keeping it under wraps for now.

Between seeing kiddos in my office, helping families de-stress meal times, “cooking” with Seacoast ABA students, working with the Monarch School AND my newest project, 2026 is looking good!

Snack Idea:
