“Veggies Anyone?”
Offer veggies in unusual ways—your kiddo might just like one!
Raw vs cooked veggies- kiddo likes the crunch? Offer raw or partially cooked veggies instead of steamed. Serve with a dip or sauce—kids love to dip! Dip options- ketchup, cheese sauce, ranch, hummus, tzatziki, tartar sauce, mustard.
Some veggies that we usually cook (ex. green beans, sweet potatoes, zucchini) are more attractive to kids raw.
Bake gently steamed veggies in a cheese sauce, topped with crunchy bread crumbs. Roast diced veggies in olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Kiddo like zippy foods? Sprinkle on garlic salt, everything but the bagel seasoning, taco seasoning……you get the idea!
